Meet Founder Jason Gibson
Jason has over 30 years of experience in youth advocacy and mentoring. He has been the Senior Program Director at the Boys and Girls Club of New Britain since 1991. He’s a Family School Liaison at Pulaski Middle School and has worked extensively with High School families over the years. Some of Jason’s former mentees include entrepreneurs, an NFL Super Bowl champ, an Emmy Award winner, an executive chef, a poet laureate, and a teacher of the year. There are many others…
In June, 2022, Jason received the Unsung Hero Award from the Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of New Britain for his take charge efforts during the pandemic in advocating and organizing food donations and distribution, getting computers and Internet access for students, supporting students and families through numerous pandemic rough spots, and helping organize and support other community initiatives.
Jason’s vision for “The Platform” is to use his ongoing personal efforts, foresightedness, and dedication in developing and leading a team of volunteers, supporters, sponsors, community partners and existing organizations to provide avenues and resources for support in addressing individual and community challenges.
